Academy Awards!

Do you know that the first Academy Awards was held in 1929? wow that's freaking 83 years!! Kudos to the team who never fail to bring glory and fame to the show. Read that this year's TV ratings are much higher compared to previous. hmm.. can't be due to ... the nips, thighs and ashes.

Anyway, watching the red carpet was fun on E! The gorgeous dresses, shoes and accessories, celebrities decked out in amazing outfits and yet being criticized from head to toe by hosts (hmm they don't seem to be dressed amazingly well too). Many look stunning!

Side track - i thought what Sacha Baron Cohen did on the red carpet was totally not funny. I think he did cross the line when he poured 'ashes' on Ryan. And wtf is he doing.. using the name of the North Korean leader. Thats just distasteful and disrespectful. Tortured us on the movie screen for Borat.. and now upcoming 'Dictator'. spare us.

After reading his profile.. he is involved in several controversies for his previous characters. Hmm and i have no freaking idea he was the voice for King Julien XIII from Madagascar.. he didn't sound that annoying then.

Do we really need one (multi) character like him in Hollywood?

Now that the major award season is over... what can we look forward next?

Inspired!

what can i say? GORGEOUS! Though married (not in a Vera Wang dress.. way too pricey), this wedding dress inspires me to work in the wedding industry. wishful thinking about working for Vera Wang but getting my hands on these exquisite gowns will make me really happy! (:

I enjoy the wedding planning process. Friends used to ask if i was mad for being so particular on some details during my wedding.. but being an event manager myself, i have high expectations and need to ensure all are in order. Peers who are in the event industry would all know our dear friend, Justin Case.

I will be really happy to help plan for people's wedding as the job satisfaction would be over the top. What more can be happier and more exciting than witnessing a couple exchange vows, have their first dance and their touching speech to the parents.

MY joie de vivre.

First step to happiness!

Took me a long while to start on blogging. Always wonder why would people ever read about someone else's lives, likes and dislikes, their biased comments, pictures etc. Oh well, somehow i became an addict, hence decided to start blogging myself. Who knows.. might be able to seek solace in the blogosphere..

Just moved to the mega city of Malaysia - Kuala Lumpur couple of days ago.. previously from the lion city, Singapore. What a change, oh my. Despite all the assurance from friends and family that everything remains the same, i hereby conclude that it isn't the same. KL is a nice and lively city with tons of traffic, aggressive yet friendly drivers, crowded, massive (land) and really confusing directional signs. I think we made a couple of wrong turns which resulted in a much longer drive. Hmm the drivers are pretty 'forgiving' here.. they either flash at you (for being slow) or give a single honk to hurry you. -_-" I am sure we will be the same once we are familiar with the routes.. :P

Currently staying at Mont Kiara.. pretty accessible (in terms of driving). Solaris is lively at night with bars, restaurants and a Cold Storage which is stocked up with a huge array of imported goods. Hence nothing is missed in Singapore except for the lower (yes, lower) prices of some imported products! Seriously.. some are significantly cheaper back home.

Other than the above, i do love the malls as they are massive and variety is key! We still see the usual few popular boutiques like Zara, Topshop, etc but they have many other local shops which bring more choices to shopaholics.

First week in KL has been challenging yet fun but i am definitely looking forward to more adventures in this city. (:

Signing off now.
